Description
A small village Hidden amidst the valley, only 60 km away from Chiang Mai city. Good atmosphere, plenty of trees, hearable sound of water from the water stream flowing through the village. The weather is quite cool all year round. There is a short walking street that tourists can walk around, shop, taste, and chill out.
The recommended local northern food such as Khai Paam (Grilled Mixed Eggs), Sai Ua (Northern Styled Sausages), Kao Pook Nga Dum (Grilled Black Sesame Rice), Khanom Jeen Nam Ngiao (Rice Noodles with Northern Styled Curry Sauce), etc. The shops on both sides are mostly wooden buildings, northern style architecture, it's very charming and looks classic. Moreover, there are many cute corners for taking photos to keep as photo souvenirs.
Please avoid during long holidays, there will be a lot of crowd and busy traffic. On the way before reaching Mae Kampong is narrow and steep, please be especially careful.
